To put to death the misdeeds of our sinful human nature is to destroy the strength and vitality of sin as it tries to reign in us. This is done through the conviction for and commitment to living a holy life, along with the immersion in and application of God’s word to our daily life. Because of our need to rid ourselves of sin, we are to be in pursuit of holiness.
