Paul wrote to the Colossians calling the church “the chosen of God” and instructed them to “put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Jesus prayed that his followers would be unified as he is with God the Father. Disunity in the church is a barrier to fulfilling Jesus’ prayer. Together we can come to unity of faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.
