Office Manager Job Overview:

To be gracious and welcoming to all who enter our church office while always conducting the business of the church in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome people to the office and the church facility as an ambassador for the church.
  • Answer, direct, or handle phone calls. Make calls at the requests of pastor or other church leaders.
  • Maintain a telephone log.
  • Set up and design Sunday bulletin. Print and distribute Sunday bulletin.
  • Confirm flowers have been ordered for Worship.
  • Enter church attendance.
  • Maintain the membership program/files.
  • Enter information into template for monthly newsletter.
  • Prepare various reports for church groups, leaders, and Pastor as requested.
  • Schedule use of rooms and areas within the church and grounds.
  • Provide pastor with attendance cards weekly. Make note of any notes made on attendance cards and promptly follow-up.
  • Enter contributions into Church Finance Program.
  • Provide to Church Treasurer all invoices and receipts for reimbursement requests received.
  • Provide contribution reports to Church Treasurer.
  • Prepare and distribute contribution statements.
  • Assist Trustee leader with coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Annually submit office budget proposal.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Publisher.
  • Proficient in current church computer programs.
  • Maintain all computers in the church: updating, installing programs, trouble shooting.
  • Adherence to strict confidentiality.
  • Professional decorum (business casual acceptable).
  • Hospitable.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must successfully pass background check.

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)
  • Administrative experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Ability to commute to Milford, OH 45150 (Required)
