“Savior, Servant, Friend” Sermon Series for Lent

March 9 Lent series “Savior, Servant, Friend”, “Jesus the Healer” Wounded and weakened by sin; Jesus brings us healing. With the many and varied afflictions in life, sin included, Jesus brings us healing. Jesus is Savior, Servant, Friends, and Healer. Scriptures: Matthew 4:23-25; Mark 2:1-12.

March 16 Lent series “Savior, Servant, Friend”, “Jesus the Listener” Jesus listens to us like no other, hearing our questions, concerns, and prayers. He knows what we are going to say even before we say it, and He knows what we need to hear from Him. Jesus is Savior, Servant, Friend, and Listener. Scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11-14a; John 3:1-17.

March 23 Lent series “Savior, Servant, Friend”, “Jesus the Encourager” Jesus encourages His followers in their faith and to live their lives for Him. His encouragement leads to greater spiritual growth. Jesus is Savior, Servant, Friend, and Encourager. Scriptures: Matthew 8:5-11; Matthew 15:21-28.

March 30 Lent series “Savior, Servant, Friend”, “Jesus the Protector” Jesus protects us from the devil and from danger and keeps us safe in Him. He answers our prayer, “Deliver us from evil,” and assures us that our hearts need not be troubled and afraid. Jesus is Savior, Servant, Friend, and Protector. Scriptures: John 14:18-20, 27; John 17:6-19.
