“Now and Not Yet” Sermon Series
August 3 “Now and Not Yet Series”: “God Keeps His Promises” The strength of promises is in the character of the promise-maker. God’s faithfulness means that He will always do what He has said and fulfill what He has promised. God has never failed to keep any of His promises. We can trust in God’s promises even while we wait now for all that is not yet. Scriptures: Genesis 15:1-21; Romans 4:13-25.
August 10 “Now and Not Yet Series”: “God’s Sovereignty Directs a Bigger Story” God’s sovereignty means that His rule over all creation is absolute. With ultimate authority, God only uses it for good. We can trust God’s sovereignty even while we wait now for all that is not yet. Scriptures: Genesis 37:1-11; Matthew 25:14-30.
August 17 “Now and Not Yet Series”: “God Provides in the Wilderness” God knows our every need and is perfectly able to meet every need. God’s provision shows that He is intimately involved in the lives of people and is their Sustainer. We can trust in God’s provision even while we wait now for all that is not yet. Scriptures: Genesis 22:1-14; Matthew 6:25-33.
August 24 “Now and Not Yet Series”: “God Hears Your Cries” God is all-knowing which means we have the freedom to pour our hearts to Him and the freedom to surrender our pain. God knows all things actual and possible all at once. We can trust in our all-knowing God even while we wait now for all that is not yet. Scriptures: 1 Samuel 1:9-17; Psalm 139:1-18.
August 31 “Now and Not Yet Series”: “God’s Sufficiency Meets Your Weakness” Is anything too hard for God? God is all-powerful and is not bound by location or time, and His power is able to be exercised anywhere, any time. We can trust in God’s sufficiency even while we wait now for all that is not yet. Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; 2 Corinthians 12:1-10.
