Trinity United Methodist Church offers a very active Cub Scout program for boys in the first through fifth grade (or 7 to 10 years old). Pack 846 (www.pack846.org) has over 80 boys registered with the majority of the boys attending Seipelt and Meadowview Elementary Schools in the Milford school district. The pack typically meets monthly at Meadowview Elementary with many dens meeting during a month at Trinity. The Cub Scout program in the pack has a great outdoor program that includes seasonal camping and a monthly hiking activity. Additionally, the pack has Pinewood and Paper Airplane Derbies and a Cubmobile Race as some of the events during the year. The pack is also involved in a number of community service projects through the church. The pack offers a complete religious activity program through PRAY (www.praypub.org) for protestants and Catholics through the National Catholic Committee on Scouting.

Boys work through the Cub Scout ranks over their years from Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos by obtaining personal achievements, learning new skills and developing character. As boys advance through the Cub Scout ranks the requirements get more challenging to match the boy’s new abilities and skills as they get older. Ultimately a boy is prepared to graduate into Boy Scouts.

The entire program equates to a large amount of FUN for the boys, parents and siblings.

Our scouts are an important part of Trinity’s ministry. The picture you see here is one example of our troops helping out at the Milford Miami Ministry’s Christmas distribution that takes place every December. The scouts provide smiling faces and ready labor to help carry items to vehicles for those who need assistance. We are proud of our scouts for so many reasons!
