In our many crossroads in life, Christ and His cross can lead us to decide the path of God’s will for us. Jesus was taken into custody and he chose to show compassion to a wounded participant in his arrest. We are called to show compassion, not anger, even to those in our midst whom we might consider our enemies. Hearing from the servant Malchus who was healed by Jesus can help us to come to the crossroads of compassion ready to love others as Christ loved us.
